As a consultant who works in change management, it is easy to listen to one individual or group describe a situation regarding why others aren't supporting them so vividly that I believe I have just witnessed pure unvarnished truth. Oh, the magic of it all!. . and then I talk to the others. And, surprise, surprise, they paint a different picture of truth. So not only do I need to go see for myself. I need to go see a number of different people so that I can try to help my client make sense of the multiple views of reality.
